At Easy Signs, we’re not your average signage company. We’re a leading signage printing manufacturer with operations across Australia and the US, combining cutting-edge technology with exceptional customer service to deliver high-quality, customised signage solutions. As one of the fastest-growing manufacturers in our space, we’re driven by continuous improvement and our people are at the heart of everything we do.
We’re now looking for a HR & Payroll Officer to join our growing team at our Smeaton Grange HQ. This newly created role will support our expansion and help build out our in-house HR capabilities, providing hands-on support across the full employee lifecycle and ensuring accurate, efficient payroll for our team.
**About the Role**:
You’ll work closely with our HR Manager to ensure a smooth and people-first experience for our employees, from onboarding through to payroll processing. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who’s excited to roll up their sleeves, own their space, and help shape the way we support our people.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Managing end-to-end weekly payroll across all employee types, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
- Maintaining and reconciling payroll records, reports, and tax submissions (STP, Payroll Tax, ATO reporting).
- Supporting HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, recruitment assistance, and employee records management.
- Responding to employee queries on payroll, leave, and benefits in a professional and timely manner.
- Assisting the HR Manager with employee relations matters and compliance with Fair Work obligations.
- Helping improve HR and payroll processes to support a growing and people-focused business.
**About You**:
- You’re an organised, detail-driven people person with experience in payroll and an interest in human resources. You’re proactive, approachable, and ready to make an impact.
**You’ll bring**:
- Experience in end-to-end payroll processing (ideally within a medium-sized business).
- Working knowledge of HR administration or interest in expanding your HR skills.
- Familiarity with Australian payroll legislation and Modern Awards.
- Great communication skills and the ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Experience using payroll or HRIS software (we use KeyPay and Employment Hero - bonus points if you’ve used them).
**Why Join Us?**
- Be part of a supportive, values-led business with a strong culture.
- Join an innovative and growing company making waves in Australia and the US.
- Work with a passionate and people-focused team who are proud of what they do.
- Enjoy onsite parking, team events, recognition programs and more.
