**Position Information**:
Sydney Secondary College, Leichhardt Campus is a partially selective co-educational middle school which caters for students from Year 7 to Year 10 and is located in the inner west. The school has an enrolment of 930 students and includes a support unit with a designated Head Teacher for students with mild and moderate intellectual disabilities and autism. The student body consists of 3.6% students from an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background. A commitment to innovative, rigorous and future focused education to build a culture of lifelong learning for both students and teachers underpins the directions of the school. There are strong links to the broader community and a highly effective and involved P & C. All Sydney Secondary College Principals work together through the College Management Group to enact their responsibility for effective collegiate decision-making. The College fosters cross campus teaching opportunities for experienced and early career staff to work proactively together across middle and senior school settings.
**Selection Criteria**:
Approval to teach Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PD/H/PE) and Sport, Lifestyle and Recreation (SLR).
Demonstrated ability to collaborate, develop and implement high quality teaching and learning programs and assessment strategies which engage and support diverse learners, including gifted and talented students
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work as a collaborative member of the PDHPE faculty and actively contribute to faculty and whole-school initiatives
Demonstrated capacity to plan and coordinate whole-school sporting programs and events
