**Aged Care Support Workers - Ballarat & Central Highlands Region**

**About the Role**

Support Workers are at the forefront delivering quality care services in accordance with the needs of the clients. As a support worker you will undertake a variety of tasks to support clients to continue living at home and accessing their community. Support can be either in the home or out in the community.

**What you could be doing**:

- Assist clients to access community facilities or appointments;
- Provide carers with general respite and at times overnight respite;
- Support clients with shopping and other daily activities.
- Provide quality personal care assistance such as showering and dressing;
- Provide assistance with housework and other areas of daily living including preparation of meals;

**What we need from you**:

- A strong desire to provide quality service and the ability to make connections and build relationships so that you are welcomed into a client’s home;
- Flexibility and ability to be adaptive;
- Highly professional and able to act in a compassionate, non-judgmental manner;
- Previous experience working and supporting older clients and/or clients with disabilities;
- NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Current CPR with at least 3 months until expiry and First Aid with at least 12 months until expiry;
- Current driver’s license and own transport vehicle with insurance;
- Minimum availability of 3 days per week;
- Must have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in line with the Victorian Government Public Health Directions.

**What would be great to have (but not essential)**:

- Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability Care or higher;
- Knowledge and experience in a similar industry or position
- Fluency in a second language

You must be eligible to work in Australia.
