Disability Support Worker – Ballarat

Join our passionate team at West End Support Services. We're seeking experienced and dedicated Disability Support Workers available for sleepover and rotating weekend shifts across a 24/7 roster.

About the Role:

You'll provide compassionate, person-centred support to individuals with disabilities—assisting with daily living, personal care, and community access to help them live independently and achieve their goals.

Based in Winter Valley, West End Support Services has been supporting the Ballarat community since 2017. We pride ourselves on delivering personalised, quality care that promotes dignity, independence, and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop meaningful and professional relationships with each participant, understanding their unique needs, goals, and daily living activities.
  • Assist with daily living activities such as mealtime management, administering medication, dressing, toileting, showering, household duties, and or other tasks as required.
  • Maintaining accurate and complete records of activities/goals via progress notes in line with organisational and legislative requirements
  • Display a positive attitude and be an active member of the team.
  • Follow direction provided by senior members of the team and management.
  • Adhere to human resource policies, work health and safety procedures and participant right's policies including privacy and confidentiality.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • This positionis forsleepover shifts and rotating weekend shifts. You must have full availability for these times to be considered.
  • A minimum of 6 months of paid experience in a similar role.
  • A genuine passion to support people with a disability
  • Being adaptable & being able to prioritise work.
  • Current First Aid (Level 2) & CPR Certificates, a current cleared NDIS Workers Screening Check, Current Driver's License, NDIS Workers Orientation Certificate
  • Confident in using technology and a range of software programs, with the ability to follow online instructions and procedures accurately.

  • Be willing to undertake further online and in person training

  • Clear speech and ability to communicate effectively

  • Ability to work in a busy environment and to work both independently and as a part of a team.
