We are Mingara, the greatest Club on the Central Coast, offering a diverse range of facilities. As well as a world-class gym, indoor Olympic pool and an international standard athletics track, we also have restaurants, cafes, bars, gaming, TAB, Keno, promotions and events, and a wellness precinct with hairdresser, beautician, physiotherapist and martial arts studio.

**Purpose of the Role**
- Foster a collaborative and constructive team culture by providing leadership, direction and support to the Aquatics team including coaching and development, performance management, recruitment, rostering and team communication.
- Create memorable experiences for our aquatic's customers.
- Develop and manage the coordination of the aquatic's programmes including swimming coaching, Learn to Swim, water safety, school intensive swimming programs and carnivals, special events and school holiday programs as well as centre merchandising.
- Problem solve and implement solutions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Work with key stakeholders to maintain the aquatics facility.
- Build and foster highly effective working relationships with all departments regarding core priorities, upcoming events, projects, and maintenance requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements and Club policies, with an emphasis on water safety, industry development and currency, and workplace safety.
- Financial management and reporting for the aquatic's facility.

- Experience in managing or leading a similar leisure or aquatic facility.
- A genuine and caring approach to leadership and self-development.
- Ability to influence, negotiate and communicate at all levels.
- An enthusiasm for mentoring and coaching employees of all levels.
- Project Management experience including the use of software to assist in the process.
- Knowledge and understanding of national swimming and water safety frameworks Including: Royal Life Saving, Swim and Survive, Guidelines for safe pool operations and NSW Health.
- Strong knowledge of pool operations, including plant and equipment
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Current Pool Lifeguard Qualification (SISSS00133)
- Current Aquatic Technical Operation Qualification (SISSS00131)
- Current First Aid Qualification (HLTAID011)
- Royal Life Saving Pool Lifeguard Workplace Supervisor
- Royal Life Saving Technical Operations Workplace Supervisor
- Time management and organisational skills.
- Social Media experience and expertise.
- Commitment to stay up to date in regard to trends in the Fitness and Aquatics Industry by spending minimum 40 hours per year on your own professional development e.g., reading blogs/publications, subscribing to fitness / aquatics networks, attending webinars and or conferences.

**Desirable**
- Experience in managing an Aquatics Centre or related business.
- SIS30122/SIS40122 - Certificate III or IV in Aquatics and Community Recreation (or equivalent) TAE40122 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- CHCPRT025 - Identify and report children and young people at risk.
- Royal Life Saving Swim Teacher Workplace Supervisor
