**Your role**

The Commissioner Support Officer contributes to the smooth functioning of the Industrial Relations Commission by providing administrative, clerical and secretarial support to the Commissioners. In addition, the position facilitates the exchange and delivery of information between the Commission and the legal profession, industrial organisations, employer representatives or their agents and the general public.

**What you’ll do**
- Provides training and support to team members and deals with complex enquiries.
- Provides a high level of clerical and administrative support to the court and registry, including organising travel and accommodation arrangements for country hearings, typing judgments and decisions on behalf of the Commissioner and undertaking research and analysis on industrial matters
- Uses computer systems to accurately enter data
- Provides high quality client services through the performance of general reception duties
- Respond to customer enquiries, including informing external clients on processes and procedures under the various Acts administered by the Industrial Relations Commission
- Interprets and applies departmental policies and practices such as Bullying/Harassment prevention, EEO, EAPS, Code of Conduct, WH&S, Ethical Work Practices, Disability Awareness, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Strategies
