**About the Role**
The role will report to the CFO and play a leadership role in the department to build a positive organisational culture, promote a collaborative and innovative culture within the team and develop a rapport with other departments to deliver successful financial outcomes.
This leadership role will lead the financial accounting, accounts payable and audit engagement. Provide guidance and advise business units on financial implications and consequences of business decisions, offering professional judgement on financial matters and ways of improving business performance.
You will bring significant accounting experience within a complex and diverse service portfolio. This will be supported by a customer mindset that builds organisational capability.
- CPA/CA qualified and tertiary qualified in accounting or similar area with extensive leadership experience in developing high performing finance teams in a large complex environment
- Experience in the preparation of statutory financial statements, monthly reconciliations and engaging with external auditors
- Flexible to respond to changing priorities and able to complete tasks within tight timeframes; and
- High level of accuracy and numeracy with the ability to input and review data - attention to detail is critical.
