**About the role**

Your role as a Services Officer will be primarily based out of **Warragul station**. Your main duties will involve providing top-notch service to customers on V/Line services and ensuring safety on and around the rail.

Your responsibilities will include selling Myki and V/Net tickets, making platform announcements, assisting passengers, and maintaining the cleanliness of the station and its facilities. You will also assist during planned and unplanned disruptions by coordinating bus replacements and supporting safe, on-time train departures.

This is an ongoing, part-time position. This position will also require leave coverage at Morwell Station. Depending on scheduling and business needs, you may be required to sign on and work at various stations along the Warragul line (Morwell to Drouin).

**Key accountabilities include**:

- Gain a Certificate 3 in Rail Customer Operations
- Communicate accurate and timely information to customers about V/Line services and other forms of public transportation
- Self-manage your time in-between services
- Identify and report safety hazards or incidents
- Take pride in, and maintain the presentation and cleanliness of the station and its facilities
- Ensure safety on and around the station, for customers, colleagues, and yourself

**About you**

As our next Services Officer, we are seeking self-motivated individuals who prioritise customer service and safety.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Successful completion of Year 10 or equivalent
- Ability to work independently and proactively without supervision
- Ability to adapt to changing environments
- Previous extensive experience in a customer service and operational environment
- Strong verbal and written communication, and problem-solving skills
- Strong safety culture and willingness to adhere to the company values

Remuneration for this position will be in line with the V/Line Rail Operations and Administrative Employees Agreement 2023.
