About the role
Be responsible for leading the development and engagement of the emergency response workforce in Victoria. As a part of the central Emergency Response and Operations team, ensures that local response workforce is adequately trained, prepared, and equipped to respond to various emergency scenarios. The Specialist will support the coordination of development, training and engagement activities, conduct readiness assessments, and foster a culture of readiness and commitment among the local workforce.
What you will bring
- Demonstrated sound technical knowledge and expertise in incident management, emergency response or community engagement.
- Ability to lead and motivate a diverse workforce in a state or territory-specific context.
- High level of knowledge and skills in assessing capability needs and workforce readiness, and in developing effective engagement solutions.
- Flexibility to adjust to meet evolving local needs and emerging challenges.
- Strong organisational and planning abilities. Ability to set priorities, plan and organise their own work and that of lower classified staff and/or volunteers
- A current full Australian Drivers Licence
