**THE COMPANY**
The Davyhurst Gold project is located 120km north west of Kalgoorlie in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia. The project area holds significant regional exploration potential in a “District Scale” land holding comprised of over 200 tenements, covering an area of 1,350km2 which contains more than 200 strike kilometres of highly prospective greenstone belt.

**THE ROLE**
The purpose of the Business Improvement Manager - OP role is responsible for developing and supporting improvements across the Open Pit environment; this will include but not be limited to Personnel performance, contractor management and equipment utilization.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Ensure that all activities are carried out to the highest standards of safety and compliance to current company policies and workplace safety and environmental regulations.
- Actively promote safety
- Oversee the development, implementation and use of policies, procedures and plans relating to mining.
- Being actively involved with the site OP training department.
- Optimize coordination and resource sharing between open pits.
- Provide safety, communication, and personal leadership with the Open Pit Mine. Managers/Quarry Managers and Alternates
- Ensure compliance with the Mines Safety and Inspection Act 1994, its associated regulations, guidelines, and all other compliance requirements.
- Manage performance standards for the Open Pit Mining team and ensure compliance and competency of personnel.
- Ensure effective daily, weekly, monthly, and long-term planning and forecasting advice for operational and capital expenditure and production physicals to achieve approved budgets.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with all levels of the organization.
- Liaise with the mining contractors to ensure an efficient and effective team is aligned to OBM’s goals
- Provide supervision and support to company and contract personnel.
- Ensure that clear communication lines with the Registered Manager and SS managers with regards to safety, development, production, cost, technical and environmental issues.
- Act as Registered Manager/Senior Site Executive as required.
- Other duties as required

**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**
- WA Quarry Manager is desirable but not essential. Operated at that required level
- A minimum of 25 years’ experience in production environments (ideally Gold).
- Sound knowledge of statutory safety requirements relevant to mining.
- Technical expertise in relation to Open Pit mine design, drill and blast, optimization, and planning.
- 10 years’ experience in senior site roles.
- Proven ability to meet mining targets whilst focusing on safety standards, operational efficiencies, productivity, and cost effectiveness.
- Proven leadership and people management experience demonstrated by high levels of employee engagement, development, and retention
- Current Manual Drivers License.
