Quality Assurance Auditor
Say hello to insurance that works wonders. At Open, we’re on a mission to provide the best insurance experiences, at the best price, for the world. Insurance is one of the world’s least digitally mature industries - for years it’s remained confusing, paper-based and heavily intermediated. We launched in 2016 to build a global, AI-powered platform that digitises the entire insurance process, making it transparent, less costly and more reliable.
But the best is yet to come - we plan on doubling growth while expanding to New Zealand and the UK. We also believe in using business as a force for good - Open is Australasia’s only certified B Corp insurance company and as a partner of 1% for the Planet, we donate at least 1% of our revenue every year to charity.
Our team thrive on solving problems to revolutionise insurance and have a ‘no excuses’ attitude when it comes to putting our customers first. We have a high performing team and an open and enabling culture that attracts the best creative and critical thinkers. Join us and let’s build the future of insurance together.
**What you’ll do**
As a Quality Assurance Auditor you will be tasked with working alongside our Quality Assurance team to ensure that our products and services continually meet the needs and expectations of our customers. You will:
- Promote continuous improvement and enhancement of processes reviewed through our Quality Assurance program
- Provide insight and create frameworks to manage risk, quality, and compliance across the organisation
- Stay up to date with any regulatory reforms or changes and strategically implement any changes or updates across all operations teams
- Utilise Quality Assurance data with other data sources to identify and share opportunities to continually enhance the customer experience.
- Drive a positive team culture focussing on providing meaningful and technical insights to the broader operations team
**What you’ll bring**:
- Extensive understanding of the compliance and regulatory requirements for General Insurance products
- A background of Quality Assurance knowledge and experience
- Strong understanding of the claims life cycle, and relevant legislation
- Ability to build collaborative working relationships with senior stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail & analytical thinking skills
- Well-developed time management, organisational skills, and problem solving skills
- A growth mindset - you’re resilient and you’re open to giving and receiving feedback
**Role location**
We're looking for talented individuals to support our teams in Melbourne and the Sunshine Coast. This role is flexible around these locations.
**Why Open?**
It’s an exciting time to join our team and be part of a tech company going through a hyper-growth phase. We provide our team with:
- Highly competitive compensation, including share options - we believe in paying people what they’re worth and having everyone in our company share in our success
- High levels of autonomy and trust so you can do your best work
- Growth opportunities internally - as you grow, your role can too
- Flexible working - we are about impact, not time at your desk. We encourage freedom and responsibility, including the ability to work from anywhere
- Annual allowance for professional development - use it towards a gym membership, professional coaching, a conference. Whatever matters most to you
