The Quality Assurance Officer will assist the production team in developing, implementing and maintaining Food Safety and Quality Management systems for The Jolly Miller Group including Fig Food Co, iPantry and Houghnuts.

You will be directly involved in the processes involved in documenting and reporting of quality systems, including but not limited to HACCAP compliance. The Quality Assurance officer is a vital part of the company ensuring the safety and consistency of all products developed on site.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Identify quality issues, investigate the root cause & drive the implementation of in-house HACCP.
- Be heavily involved in the day & afternoon production and day to day checks of finish products.
- Conduct pre-operational and intra-production checks, ensuring staff complete cleaning check, weight verification and relevant production forms.
- Printing finish product labels on daily basis.
- Reviewing daily completed paperwork.
- Assist in creating production records, specifications, and labels.
- Assist with sample collection & external laboratory testing as per schedule.
- Assist with document control in accordance with HACCP compliance.
- Assist with schedule internal audit & continuous improvements to quality and food safety systems.
- Assist with complaint logs & investigation and handling of customer complaints.
- Assist with conducting staff training in food safety & quality.
- Other ad hoc duties as require.

**SKILLS & QULAIFICATIONS**
- Certificate, diploma or degree in food science, quality assurance or a related discipline.
- Sound working knowledge of HACCP.
- High emphasis on food safety & hygiene.
- Strong Microsoft Office suite knowledge & ability (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, etc)
- Experience within the Quality Control and assurance industry - desirable but not required
