Position : Lead/ Customer Development Specialist

Reports to: State Manager NSW/ACT

Position Purpose:
The purpose of this position is to proactively support the Regional Manager, Account Managers & Segment Development Managers by prospecting, identifying and qualifying new business opportunities. The role will lead the effective use of CRM, ensuring Salesforce is up to date, with accurate information, rich contact information and all activity and customer interactions recorded.

The Lead / Customer Development Specialist will proactively seek out new leads and sales opportunities through various lead generation sources such as Cordell and in conjunction with the sales team develop a winning strategy to secure the business. The role will support the sales team in creating and maintaining excellent client relationships. Ensure the showroom is an effective tool for use by the sales team.

Areas of Responsability:
CRM Lead:

- Proactive input of Leads and Opportunities into Salesforce and allocation of follow up activities to Sales team.
- Data governance for the Account Managers (AM’s)Segment Development Managersand KAM sales team.
- New Accountand Contact Creation in SalesforceCRM.
- Develop reporting to assist the RegionalManagerand Account Managersto increase efficiency.
- Innovate new processes to assist the AM’s, SDM’s& KAM sales teams to become more efficient & effective.
- Liaise with other regions to discover best practices and implement those processes.
- Document & distribute CRM best practices to other regions.Manage CRM ‘Campaigns’
- Diligent use of all Interface Advance tools on CRM in collaboration with Sales team.

Market Research:

- Seek out leads and Sales Opportunities and enter into CRMworking with Sales team in the pursuit of those opportunities
- Using our existing lead generation tools create account mapping tools.
- Analyse market data-Gain insightsinto opportunities relevant to each of the targeted. Market segments -Education / Health & Aged care and hospitality.

Client Engagement:

- Build rapport directly with clients to create and maintain excellent customer relationships
- Facilitate & co-ordinate client engagement activities/eventswithin region
- Set up presentations for Account managers within showroom-Attend client presentations on client premises when Account managers require assistance

Sample Management:

- Responsible for inventory of showroom samples
- Record & Dispatch urgent samples from showroom
- Follow up with Clients to ensure receipt of samples and solicit feedback / organise follow up activities in conjunction with sales team -record all interactions in CRM.
- Responsible to manage high volume sample product lines

Sales Support:

- Proactively manage Sales Team’s client activities -set appointments / presentations
- Actively support Regional Manager with weekly sales meetings and Funnel Review process
- To take responsibility for the smooth and effective running of the showroom, ensuring it is clean and tidy, well presented and stocked with sampling and sample folders.
- Inputting opportunitiesinto CRM-Provide pricing to customers / inputting quotesthrough CRM
- Follow up quotes,working with AM’s to ensure CRM is up to date, ensuring accuracy with expected orderand delivery dates
- Develop reporting on SFDC usage and KPI’s to assist the Regional Managerand Account Managersto increase efficiency

Office Support:

- Day to day activities of a busy office, managing couriers, answering phones, client enquiries, office supplies etc
- Point of contact and face of the company for internal/external visitors
- Managing phone and online enquiries
- Maintaining a standard of presentation for office
- Preparation for meetings e.g. IT set up and organising refreshment
- Managing and ordering inventory for office e.g. sundries and stationary etc.
- Booking and liaising with transport/courier bookings

Qualifications Needed:

- Preferred tertiary qualification in business administration, customer experience, marketing or sales.
- Industry or associated industry knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills and working with a high performing sales team.
- An understanding of business processes.
- A current driver's licence
