**The Opportunity**
This role will support and collaborate with our EHS Manager to drive the execution of day-to-day elements of our EHS Management system, execute plant initiatives and drive adherence to standardised compliance requirements across our Carole Park site.
With your strong problem-solving skills and continuous improvement mindset, you will work cross-functionally with our operators and other plant stakeholders to deliver on operational environment, health and safety priorities and strengthen new and existing management systems and processes.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Engage, coach and influence leaders and employees at all levels in understanding and successfully executing the risk management responsibilities of their roles consistent with the Plant EHS expectations.
- Working closely with line managers to complete workplace audits and inspections and encourage positive health and safety conversations with plant personnel
- Conduct site EHS induction with new employees, contractors and visitors to site
- Maintain site workplace inspection registers, safety leadership activity registers and records database
- Advise and support the plant facility to ensure that we comply with legislation, support environmental compliance activities and pursue best practice
- Coordinate the timely investigation of incident and hazard reports and close out corrective actions
- Facilitate initial contact with injured workers and provide early intervention services including the development of RTW plans
- Support LEAN manufacturing initiatives

**About you**
- Minimum 3-4 years practical experience in EHS, preferably in manufacturing, chemical-related or similar industry (high risk environment)
- Certificate IV or degree qualified (or working towards) with a major in Workplace Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Applied Sciences or Engineering
- Working knowledge of risk management processes, e.g. management system implementation, root cause analysis, auditing, etc)
- Robust understanding of relevant EHS Legislations
- Good understanding of EHS Management Systems, technology and tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ambition to grow, to lead and influence all levels within the organisation
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to balance multiple competing priorities and take a pragmatic commercial approach
Highly desirable:
- 24/7 manufacturing experience, desirable
- ICAM LEAD investigation qualified,
- Internal auditor qualification, RRTW Coordinator
