**Onemda** We’re looking for an experienced Maintenance Officer based in Melbourne’s Eastern suburbs.

Onemda is a registered NDIS provider who are passionate about supporting adults with an intellectual disability in learning and life. For more than 50 years, we’ve been delivering a unique mix of learning and therapeutic services which support people to maximise their wellbeing, achieve their goals and reach their potential.
**WHAT THIS ROLE INVOLVES**
As our Maintenance Officer, you’ll work closely with the Facilities Lead and other team members to ensure Onemda’s eight campuses, therapy centre and pool, and transport assets are maintained to the highest standards of safety, functionality, and service.

**You’ll be responsible for**:

- maintenance tasks yourself, making sure we have the consumables we need on site and ready to go
- and managing contractors when required.

**You will**:

- Handle general maintenance, repairs, and cleaning tasks
- Source materials and coordinate job completion
- Perform general vehicle maintenance, checks and service scheduling
- Maintain appropriate compliance documentation

**WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN YOU**
To deliver what we need in this role, you will have:

- Experience working in the building sector, completing a wide range of general maintenance tasks like plastering, basic carpentry, painting, plumbing, building and vehicle maintenance.
- Knowledge across all trades so you can properly assess, scope and resource projects yourself, or engage appropriate contractors
- Experience in managing fleet vehicles including general maintenance, compliance checks and service scheduling
- The ability to work autonomously and perform under pressure to meet short deadlines
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Great attention to detail and high work standards
- The flexibility and willingness to attend different sites as required

**YOU WILL ALSO HAVE**:

- The right qualifications: a trade certificate or license would be well regarded.
- Drivers’ Licences - for manual vehicles and light rigid vehicles
- Some relevant experience: At least three (3) years in a similar role
- Knowledge and understanding: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office is necessary, and you must be able to work within compliance / WH&S requirements and contractor safety.
- NDIS Workers screening clearance

**Salary**: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
