**Position Overview**

Within the framework of the Ku-ring-gai Neighbourhood Centre’s philosophy and objectives, the Admin Assistant Financial will work with the CEO, finance team and staff to coordinate and manage the day to day financial transactions of the service. KNC is a not-for-profit organisation based in St Ives.

**Duties**:

- Assist in Accounts payable, Accounts Receivable, Banking transactions.
- Monitor Aged Accounts Receivable schedule
- Assist in resolving supplier queries and processing invoices in a timely manner.
- Assist in managing accounts mailbox.
- Assist in processing invoices, direct bank debits, bank reconciliation and updating ledgers.
- check and verify source documents such as invoices, receipts, computer printouts
- Extract data, analyze, allocate and post financial transactions to subsidiary books
- comply with weekly/monthly reporting requirements
- maintain complete filing system to support financial records

**Education and Experience**
- knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures
- knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements
- working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, especially Microsoft Excel
- knowledge of data management and financial data analysis

**Skills and experience required**:

- Accounts Payable experience but not essential
- Would also consider graduates looking for their first roles in accounting.
- Demonstrated computer literacy, Microsoft Office Suite, MYOB
- Willingness to learn, follow instructions and complete tasks with high level of accuracy and minimum supervision.
- Strong work ethics, attention to details, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Experience in using MYOB Advance but not essential.
- Demonstrated ability to work with volunteers
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to work with a management committee
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pay: $45,373.50 - $80,250.72 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
