MYER is looking for a Business Partner - Retail who will be responsible to deliver reporting and strong financial analysis/advice to the retail team within the Just Group and assist the wider finance team with tasks as required across other areas of the business such as the brands and head office cost centres.

**About the role**:

- Review the Retail P&Ls against projection and budget. Understand and document variances. Understand results and correlate back to retail’s activities for the month.
- Prepare monthly executive summary of retail’s results for distribution to management
- Meet with management to present P&L results for the month.
- Prepare and/or review monthly management reports for key cost centres
- Review cost centre reports to ensure accuracy of and integrity of journals/accounting treatment of transactions
- Meet with cost centre owners on a monthly basis to discuss results against budget and projection.
- Provide analysis where relevant on key costs.
- Advise cost centre owners regarding cost management opportunities and other financial/commercial matters
- Provide management commentary on results for inclusion in board papers
- Assist management/cost centre owners with preparation of budgets/projections.
- Review overall retail P&L budgets to ensure accurate and consistent with plans/retail strategies. Assist in the preparation budget reports for the Board.
- Prepare and/or review monthly, seasonal and annual projections to ensure accuracy and integrity. Understand, confirm and challenge assumptions built into projections. Ensure that overall retail projections are in line with commercial and merchandising team plans.
- Ensure that cost centre managers are actively working towards cost projections.
- Review and improve efficiency of current month end reporting processes

**About you**:

- Tertiary educated in accounting and CA/CPA qualified
- 3-5 years’ work experience
- Analytically focused with the ability to methodically work through commercial business challenges and opportunities
- Confidence in dealing with a wide range of retail professionals and senior executives
- Continuously improve procedures and systems to deliver best in class results
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working collaboratively within a team
- Strong Excel skills, with TM1 experience an advantage
