**Your role**

The Sales Manager is responsible for proactively soliciting, developing, and contracting local catering and group business for the property. Responsible for achieving personal and team-related revenue goals by closing and contracting local catering and group business. Manages daily activities related to catering and group sales objectives. Ensures contracted business is turned over properly and timely to Event Planning or Group Housing for proper service delivery. Actively up-sells each business opportunity to maximise revenues. Implements the property’s brand service strategy and applicable brand initiatives in all aspects of the sales process and drives customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience. Provides ongoing account management services to customers to grow account potential on behalf of the property.

- Proactive sales skills, including the ability to solicit new leads for catering and group business
- Track record of converting leads to confirmed business
- Strong negotiation skills and customer service approach to uncover new business, negotiate contracts and close business
- Goal-oriented and driven to succeed
- Experience in account management
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in creating contracts and proposals, and closing business
- Have good English communication skills, both in written and spoken
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Competent with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and software packages
- Prior experience with Sales & Catering software or similar
- Organized with solid planning, good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure with a positive ‘Can Do’ attitude and a high level of energy
