Our client is one of Australia's leading and most innovative senior living providers of retirement and aged care communities.
**About the role**
The Sustainability Coordinator will work directly to the Group Sustainability Manager within the Sustainability Team, to support the development and delivery of initiatives that improve sustainability outcomes and ensure environmental compliance.
The role will be responsible for assisting this organisation in establishing itself as a market leader and achieving GRESB accreditation and embedding sustainability within the operations and activities across all communities working with both employees and residents.
The role will provide support and guidance in relation to environment and sustainability processes, procedures, systems, and initiatives across the business working with multiple business lines.
**Knowledge and Experience**
- Direct experience in the environmental or commercial reporting or suitable related qualifications in environmental or property management.
- Strong data analysis skills particularly relating to sustainability benchmarking and supporting project financial performance
- Strong data management, analysis, and verification skills
- Competence in project management and delivery
- Experience or familiarity with sustainability and ESG reporting frameworks particularly GRESB (NGERS, GRI, TCFD)
- Understanding of building design and operation, both in service delivery and building services and infrastructure.
- A genuine interest in this sector to ensure he/she combines a genuine connection to Aveo's seniors' residents and their families
- Able to work well in a culture that is multi-site, multi-divisional, and local site-led, to ensure the differing needs of the residents are met, while responding to the requirements of Brookfield, as active and involved private equity owners.

- Competence in understanding legislation and working effectively with legal documentation
- Well-developed interpersonal skills both in communication and analytics
- Passion for sustainability and creating positive environmental and social outcomes
- Stakeholder engagement and management skills; anticipating stakeholder requirements and exceeding expectations
- Prioritisation and ability to work to deadlines
- Attention to detail & strong quality assurance
- Highly competent in the use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint
**Qualifications**
- Undergraduate tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or corresponding direct work experience.
