Safety and Sustainability, Consulting Associate

ERM Australia is looking for an applicant with 1 to 3 years’ experience who is inquisitive, inspired, brings a new way of thinking, and can challenge the status quo to address the safety and sustainability challenges facing businesses around the world. ERM is in the business of sustainability
- enabling global sustainability through business consulting. During your career at ERM, you will have unrivalled professional development opportunities, made possible by the breadth and complexity of projects our clients trust us to deliver, from operations in more than 39 countries.

The role will be split across 2 days’ a week seconded into one of the world’s largest technology companies, combined with 3 days’ a week supporting on a wide range of projects across the world’s leading organisations. The role will include the opportunity to travel the breadth of Australia, New Zealand and beyond to help solve some of the most challenging safety and sustainability issues that our Clients face globally.

Some key attributes for success:

- Tertiary education in workplace health and safety, a related degree, or a Master's degree/other recognised qualification in a safety related field. Equivalent industry experience may be accepted, however a university degree is essential.
- Recent graduate to 3 years of experience or looking for a career change from industry.
- Enthusiastic and driven with the ability to be agile and innovative.
- Strong commitment to safety; ability to follow established health and safety protocols.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; organizational and analytical skills; ability to process and analyse technical data and preparing reports.
- Ability to confidently engage and consult with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, and work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to succeed in a consulting environment, simultaneously handling multiple project assignments and meeting strict deadlines.
- Dependable, with integrity, respect, positive outlook, and customer focus
- Ability to work as a team player.
