Abacus Chapel Street is on the lookout for Full time and casual Baristas to join our team on an ongoing basis. This is a very dynamic role as we foment a culture of teamwork and cross-training where we are all contributing to the team and the venue's success.

We at Abacus pride ourselves on offering an inclusive and professional workplace where we provide ongoing training whether it be in-house or with one of our suppliers. This means up-skilling with our partners at Ona Coffee Melbourne and learning Specialty Coffee from the best.

We possess a solid team of hospitality professionals willing to train and mentor the right person with the right attitude and we provide the appropriate tools to set you up for success. This means proper and thorough onboarding training where you’re not thrown into the deep-end but instead you are supported until you are ready to perform the role to your best abilities.

As it is Hospitality, we will require at least one weekend day but we’re happy to have you on set days in that helps create or maintain a healthy work-life balance.

We are more interested in the individual as we’re more than happy to invest in the proper training. The job description with duties and responsibilities will be discussed in the initial interviews.

**Experience**:

- Minimum 2 years' experience with specialty coffee preferable in Australia
- Sensory skills
- Dialing in recipes
- Grind adjustments
- Working in a team of up to 3-4 baristas and helping out wherever is needed within reason
