**About the role**:
Reporting to the Scheduling Manager, the Scheduling Supervisor will primarily be responsible for the effective and efficient coordination and scheduling of customer bulk fuel deliveries and ensuring that deliveries are made on time and in full.
This role will lead, support and oversee the scheduling team with 11 direct reports and a support to the Scheduling Manger in day-to-day tasks which includes and not limited to maximising fleet utilisation and minimum cost, meet and exceed customer needs, ensuring that deliveries are made in a safe manner and manage and maintain fleet optimisation.
On average you will be required to travel interstate approximately once a quarter to connect with the team members based interstate and to attend leadership management meetings when required. Usual work weeks provide a good balance between regional office and home office based duties with options to suit flexible working arrangements.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Manage scheduling team KPIs
- Provide day to day guidance, coaching and management to Scheduling Planners and Coordinators to support their development
- Provide metrics and reporting on all scheduling activities
- Identify continuous business improvement initiatives, implement and drive outcomes
- Optimise the scheduling of deliveries
- Ensure statutory Chain of Responsibility compliance for fatigue management, driving hours, and load management
**About you**:
You are an experienced professional with demonstrated success within a similar role. You thrive as a people leader and have proven experience in creating a highly motivated and effective and capable operations team through ongoing development and teamwork.
You have a strong achievement focus with high energy levels, commitment to end results, and a strong focus on safety and customer service to ensure customer needs and expectations are met and exceeded.
**Key skills and experience**:
- Tertiary Qualifications in logistics or related discipline preferred
- Min 5 years petroleum industry experience and/ or within Transport & logistics
- People leadership experience is desirable
- Flexible to travel when required
- Sound understanding of key legislative requirement in OH&S, Environmental and trade practices
- Sound knowledge of Transportation rules and regulations and dangerous goods
- Ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships
