The role reports to the Payroll Manager and Head of safety and well
- being, this role will be responsible for working with Admin Support Coordinators, Return to work coordinators and payroll team to ensure compensation paid accurately within organisation timeframes and in accordance with relevant legislation. This encompasses ensuring policies and standards are met and that customer service and teamwork are a key focus.

**Qualifications / Experience / Skills Required / Personal Attributes**

**Essential**
- Knowledge of the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013 and the competency to interpret relevant enterprise agreements, policies and procedures
- Ability to identify process gaps in WorkCover/payroll processes and identify and implement suitable corrective measures
- Extensive experience in a worker compensation and payroll role, preferably in a large multisite organisation.
- Processing weekly compensation entitlements and maintaining associated systems and records
- Previous experience in Worker compensation excel analysis specific to the WIRC Act 2013
- Previous experience in an aged care/health care environment is desirable
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously
- Demonstrated teamwork skills
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to plan & organise time and tasks to meet deadlines
- Managing internal stakeholder communication to ensure effective collaboration and productivity.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Collating pay advice from relevant Residences and stakeholders to calculate initial weekly earnings
- Working with Payroll & Return to work coordinator weekly to process workers compensation payments in payroll system
- Process Pay Queries received weekly
- Advanced Excel analysis is essential for calculating compensation payments accurately
- Understand and ensure the business meets its legal obligations with regards to regulatory requirements, timeframes, and outcomes for claimants under Workers’ Compensation.
- Ad hoc reporting, sites work cover query remediation and other duties as required from both the teams
- Educate relevant stakeholders (Residences) on the Payroll/Workers Compensation payment processes where required
