Diplomatik is currently looking for an enthousiastic and experienced Health and Safety advisor to join our respected manufacturing client in Landsdale.

**The opportunity**

As an experienced Work Health, Safety and Environment Advisor you will join the People, Culture and Safety team to lead key safety initiatives and co-create a safe workplace.
This role is working Monday to Friday from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm but can be flexible.

Reporting to the General Manager, your responsibilities will include:

- Provide advice and support, and ensure compliance to, legislated WHSE requirements
- Lead the ongoing development of the safety management system with a behavioral based mindset
- Lead implementation of legislated, best practice and compliance for WHSE matters
- Coach and support behavioural based safety and daily safety leadership
- Risk management and supporting material risk reduction
- Develop and implement WHSE initiatives, training and coaching programs
- Incident management support including investigation, analysis, corrective action development and quality control of incident data
- Identify areas of improvement to deliver a consistent approach to WHSE
- Lead workers compensation program and injury management including claims and rehabilitation processes
- Conduct routine safety inspections and monitoring work areas
- Lead, monitor and evaluate the project safety programs for value and effectiveness
- Lead and coordinate safety committee meetings, emergency management and fitness for work requirements
- Lead environmental testing
- Provide external reporting as required such as NGERS, APCOKnowledge and understanding of, and adherence to, relevant laws
- Coordinate WHSE responses on tender documentation

**To be successful in this role**
- You will have in-depth knowledge of health, safety and environmental principles and best practices
- You have several years experience in this line of work
- Excellent communication skills that will ensure continued success with internal stakeholders.
- You enjoy completing the end-to-end process for all activities
- You get energised through a high volume of work which provide opportunities to demonstrate your outstanding skills
- Ideally you are degree qualified and have held a health and safety role previously
- You are an Australian citizen or Permanent resident
- You hold a current drivers licence
