About the Role
As we continue to grow and expand, we are seeking experienced and passionate people to join our community team. We have a client in the Newcastle area with complex needs and your responsibilities would include:
Personal Care assistance and supporting with hygiene, including bowel care
Medication Administration and assisting with complex pain management
Providing Support in everyday activities around the home including meal preparation
Bed transfers & assisting with movement around the home using manual handling techniques as well as pressure care
A range of shifts to suit everyone, across 7 days a week, mornings & afternoons.
About you
As an experienced Disability Support Worker, you will bring with you a wonderful attitude and approach that is client centric. With the client’s needs front and centre you will have/be:
Passionate about providing high-needs care and understanding the complexities of living with a physical disability
Good Manual Handing skills including hoist
Experienced or willing to be trained in bowel management
NDIS Clearance, Working with Children’s Check, National Police Check & Current First Aid & CPR
Up to date Covid 19 vaccinations including booster shot
