A Food Production Manager **oversees the manufacturing of food products at a processing facility**. You'll ensure production targets are met and food safety standards are adhered to. Food Production Managers may check quality standards and make sure products are packaged and transported appropriately.

About the role
Key accountabilities include:

- Must be a team player with a can-do attitude and align with our company values
- Manage a highly motivated team accepting ownership for the safety of the team, quality and quantity of its product, working together in a cooperative and supportive manner.
- Work towards a reduction in cost of production
- Drive a culture that improves and maintains safety throughout the working day.
- Maintain site production efficiencies and ensure a reduction in waste and yield.
- Ensure compliance with site WHS policies and procedures.
- Conduct internal audits, training.
- Collaborate with NPD activities and engage teams to develop new products.
- Communication, coaching and mentoring skills to achieve performance goals and committed to continuous improvement.

Skills and experience
The successful applicant will possess:

- Confident with production machinery
- Food production qualifications. With knowledge of HACCP and WHS
- 2-5 years previous experience in a Production Team Leader role.
- Experience and knowledge of manufacturing practices and processes.
- Basic computing skills with knowledge of spread sheeting and report writing.
- Ability to operate at a high level without supervision.
- Strong communications skills with Hands on approach

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
