**About Us**

At Starlight we know that sick kids are still kids. So, our mission is to brighten the lives of seriously ill children, and their families, by replacing the pain, fear and stress experienced through hospitalisation and treatment with programs that deliver fun, joy and laughter.

**What’s Livewire?**

Livewire is the Starlight Children’s Foundation’s adolescent program which aims to engage, entertain and connect seriously ill teenagers. Livewire Facilitators positively impact the wellbeing of young people by creating opportunities for creative connection and engagement during their hospital stay.

**What does a Livewire Facilitator do?**

You’ll use your creative talents to create engaging, tailored and innovative activities and workshops for young people. You’ll help provide them with meaning, encourage them to connect with each other and you’ll leave participants with a sense of accomplishment. The teens you’ll be supporting come from different walks of life, are different ages and have varied cultural backgrounds and abilities.

You’ll also promote our online Livewire community to hospitalised teens, and contribute by sharing and creating content.

**The Nitty-Gritty**

We’re looking for more talented people to join the team on a casual basis. You’ll work on rotating days across a 7-day roster, which includes some weekends. Shift times are generally 12.30pm - 8.00pm. Our Livewire Facilitators typically work anywhere between 1 - 4 shifts a week - dependent on your availability and the needs of the program.

**Note**: We are recruiting for our Westmead Children's Hospital team however, may have shifts available at our Randwick Children's Hospital program too
