**The Role**:
Reporting to and partnering with the Head of People & Culture, the HR Manager will flex between HR and ER/IR challenges. With demonstrated ER experience the HR Manager will enjoy a range of day to day ad hoc enquiries, HR and ER/IR projects through to complex cases and providing expert advice and guidance to managers and employees. The HR Manager will play a critical role in ensuring CWG and its franchise networks remains compliant with employment law, while also promoting a positive and productive workplace culture.
This position is a 12 month parental leave contract that requires a commitment of 4 or 5 days per week.
**Day to day will include**:
For CWG and in a supportive capacity to its franchise network:
- Being agile, flex between providing generalist HR and ER/IR support
- Business partner with key stakeholder through to the SLT providing best practice HR/ER advice
- Manage day-to-day ad hoc enquiries through to complex cases
- Develop and implement policies and procedures
- Promote a culture of reporting and employee engagement
- Drive our healthy and happy culture initiatives and change management for continued enhancement of employee engagement and Great Place to Work recognition
- Oversee company culture enhancement related events
- Develop and deliver development sessions
- Manage talent development processes including development reviews, learning needs analysis, lunch & learns, mentoring, and 360 feedback review programs
- Oversee our wellness program in support of our purpose to inspire healthier lives
**Skills and attributes for success**:
- At least 5 years of experience in Employee Relations Case Management
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation
- Experience in HR Business partnering
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and ‘translate’ HR /IR/ER advice into easy to understand concepts
- Approachable in nature with the ability to convey compassion and handle sensitive matters appropriately
- Demonstrated ability to always maintain confidentiality
- Demonstrated ability to manage conflict, with the resilience to work with parties to deliver through to resolution
- Strong presentation and training skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills
- Tertiary qualifications in HR or related discipline
- Franchising experience highly regarded
