A long-term Federal Government contracting opportunity to oversee delivery of major ICT programs
**Your new company**
Your new organisation is a new and dynamic department dedicated to delivering on the Government's ambitious agenda. Currently, there is requirement for experienced Program Managers to join the department and oversee the delivery of major programs within the ICT Services Division.
You'll have the opportunity to work on meaningful programs that address crucial issues in climate change and environment. You'll join a collaborative team and have the chance to engage with senior executives and stakeholders, shaping the future of Australia's sustainable development.
**Your new role**
As a Program Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful implementation of programs that align with our business and ICT objectives. You will engage with internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives, to plan and manage programs with a focus on meeting scope, schedule, and budget requirements. Compliance with governance arrangements and alignment with ICT strategies and key policies will be crucial aspects of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will be instrumental in building and promoting a program vision, fostering collaboration while maintaining a decisive approach to project delivery.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To succeed in this role, you should bring a wealth of experience in program and project management, with a proven track record of success in delivering ICT programs or multiple projects. Adaptability to various delivery methodologies is essential, as well as strong organisational and communication skills. You should thrive in an environment with multiple competing priorities and demonstrate personal resilience and flexibility in dealing with ambiguity and change.
- 10+ years of program/project management experience, specifically in delivering ICT programs or multiple projects, with the ability to work across various delivery methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead business and multidisciplinary teams effectively, driving results and embracing change.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders, providing expert advice to achieve desired outcomes.
- Proficient resource management, including finance, people, and vendor or third-party contract management, ensuring successful delivery.
**What you'll get in return**
The opportunity to join a new department offering workplace flexibility & offering a highly competitive (above market) hourly rate. Given program scope, the contract on offer will run initially for 12-months with 2x 12-month extension options.
The departments' office is centrally located in Canberra, within walking distance to the Canberra Centre & offers accessible parking.
