Our client is a reputed Japanese MNC company and provides a friendly working environment, culture and people oriented. They are currently seeking for a Trading Manager to join in their Sydney office team

About the role:

- Responsible for overseeing the operations of both domestically and internationally, with a primary focus on engaging and collaborating with business clients regarding the local and global commodity markets.
- Actively involved in identifying and pursuing new business prospects within the Australian market, with the aim of cultivating trade opportunities with Japanese and Asian markets, as well as exploring potential investment prospects.
- Proficiently manage all aspects of company administration, ensuring strict adherence to Australian corporate and legal regulations and requirements.
Facilitate and participate in trips for customers and internal visitors to Australia, offering support and expertise in navigating the local business landscape.

Skills and Experience:

- A solid track record in commodity trading, encompassing both the import and export of Coal, Steel, Woodchip, Recycling, and related products, tailored to meet the demands of the Japanese and Australian markets.
- Proficiency in identifying, establishing, and nurturing new trading and investment opportunities within the minerals sector.
- Extensive experience in conducting international business transactions and collaborating with industry specialists across various domains.
- Ability to fulfill the managerial responsibilities in compliance with local legal requirements.
- Comprehensive understanding of the business practices of the Japanese Head Office and their corresponding global operations.
- Contributing to ongoing reporting and the preparation of annual budgets.
Exceptional proficiency in both the English and Japanese languages, both in written and oral forms, at a highly technical level.
