
Housing Assistant for Sil/sda Properties

**Job Overview**
The Housing Assistant plays a vital role in supporting property management operations by conducting inspections, addressing tenant concerns, and overseeing maintenance tasks. This position works closely with the housing manager and team to ensure the smooth running of property operations, with a focus on tenant satisfaction, compliance, and property upkeep.
**Duties & Responsibilities**
Assisting to conduct regular property inspections.
Respond to and/or escalating anti-social behaviour and other breaches of tenancy condition.
Managing and responding to tenant/care team’s enquires and complaints.
Ensure leasehold landlords comply with the terms of the tenancy agreement.
Work collaboratively with the team to ensure the compliance of property maintenance and repairs including preparation of Condition Reports.
Setting up accommodations under housing manager’s supervision.
Seeking/Developing new accommodations and attending inspections per manager’s instruction.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants.
Ensure reliable after-hours maintenance services.
Conduct building condition inspections and prepare detailed reports.
Negotiate upgrades with contractors within delegated authority.
Estimate costs for major upgrades in collaboration with the maintenance manager.
Monitor contractors' work quality for responsive maintenance.
Expedite maintenance for property vacancies.
Coordinate specifications for scheduled maintenance.
Address maintenance requests from tenants and staff.
Manage disability and tenant modification requests per manager’s instruction
Assist housing manager with daily tasks.
**Requirements**:
- Current National Police Check
- Working with Children Check.
- First Aid certificate and CPR
- NDIS Workers Orientation
- 100 Points of ID
- Current Australian Driving license
- First Aid certificate and CPR
**Competencies & Experience**
Previous experience in a similar role for at least 6 months, with basic handyman knowledge
Knowledge and work experience in working with people with disability
High level of time management
Good communication skills
Being able to work flexibly
Proficiency in both Chinese and English is an advantage
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
