**About the Department of Paediatrics**

The Department of Paediatrics is the flagship representative of the University’s partnership with the Royal Children’s Hospital. The Department has responsibility for the Child & Adolescent Health component of the Doctor of Medicine course of the School.

The Department delivers a range of teaching across the clinical, biological and health sciences and within the MD program and is responsible for the teaching of child and adolescent health, paediatric surgery, and other specialties in relationship to children, adolescents and their families, including mental health.

**About the Role**
The Clinical Programs Officer is responsible for providing quality administrative support for Campus education programs offered by the Department of Paediatrics, some of which are run in collaboration with Campus Partners and include various Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs (e.g. Clinical Paediatric Update and Grand Rounds).

The Clinical Programs Officer will work with a nominated Lead Academic to support the relevant program. The role is part of a small team of administrators who will share teaching and learning portfolios for delivery of the Doctor of Medicine (MD) at the Royal Children's Hospital site. The team is required to work collaboratively to deliver a range of functions contributing to the effective delivery of student teaching and learning responsibilities within the Child and Adolescent Health rotation.

Responsibilities include:

- Liaise with stakeholders, academics and Campus Partners professionally and positively to ensure excellent delivery and outcomes for each program.
- Promote the educational agenda of the Department and Campus partners within the Melbourne Children's Campus community via internal bulletins and newsletters and monitor and maintain relevant content on the Department's and the Melbourne Childrens’ websites.
- Administrative and logístical support for each program, including scheduling, booking venues, setting up online videoconferencing and organising AV services, supporting registration of participants, catering, and organisation of training materials.
- Provide support to the Clinical Student Coordinator for the Doctor of Medicine Program in all aspects related to delivery and administration requirements.

**About You**
You have experience in an administrative role demonstrating a commitment to client service principles and the ability to manage the needs of different stakeholder groups including students, academics and external stakeholders. You demonstrate the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team exhibiting versatility, flexibility, enthusiasm and high level of self-motivation.

You will also have:

- A degree with subsequent relevant experience and/or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a client-oriented focus and an ability to effectively liaise with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to relate effectively with a range of people across all levels of the organisation.
