**About the role**:
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and goal oriented person to join our top class Warehousing & Distribution Centre based out of Rocklea, QLD. Reporting to the Customer, Supplier & Transport Lead you will be responsible for driving operational performance, empowering and engaging an experienced distribution team, & delivering step change improvements to ensure Rocklea continues to perform as a best in class facility. You will ensure Distribution objectives are met, which include an uncompromising commitment to safety, accurate & efficient order picking to service our customers, and Continuous Improvement delivered through reduction of waste & increase in efficiency through standardised processes.
You will extract, manipulate and analyse data and narrate the results that helps drives action and resolutions.
Rocklea’s Distribution activities are usually Monday-Friday in a 2-shift operation (Day Shift & Afternoon Shift). The hours required for this role are flexible based on operational requirements & mutual agreement of the company and the incoming employee.
**Responsibilities**:
- Ensuring distribution KPI’s for the site/shift are met.
- Distribution and team coordination.
- Management of inventory and support labor planning to meet operational requirements
- Third party supplier management, such as transport providers.
- Continuous identification and elimination of waste in the Distribution value streams.
- Improving organisational effectiveness through the development and deployment of solutions to improve productivity and drive a high performance culture.
**Skills & Experience**:
- Proficient in ERP systems (SAP advantageous but not required) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication, influencing and change management skills, with management and shop floor personnel.
- Strong organisation and time management.
- Demonstrated ability to drive and manage your own workload as well as coach others.
