_**About You**:_

You are an experienced Production / Manufacturing Manager with a minimum of 5 years' experience managing teams in a production /manufacturing environment. You are hands on, lead by example and able to engage and influence a team - whilst maintaining a professional working relationship as a manager.
- **Key responsibilities will include**:_
- **Leadership and team management**: Lead, motivate and support a team of plant operating personnel in a time sensitive and demanding environment, fostering a positive and high-performance work culture.
- **Quality assurance and safety**: Implement and maintain quality assurance and safety control protocols to ensure the well-being of all personnel and compliance with regulations, whilst ensuring quality production of end products in line with business plan.
- **Performance Management**:Define and implement fit for purpose employee and sub-contractor key performance indicators (KPI’s) to enable the quick identification of and resolution of core production issues, providing requisite training, guidance, and leadership support as required.
- **Operational Efficiency**:Ensure that operational / production activities remain on time and within budget through the development, implementation and management of operating policies / procedures that drive (a) Plant performance, utilisation, and uptime and (b) Optimal equipment maintenance strategy
- **Inventory Management**:Manage daily / weekly / monthly resourcing requirements to produce and maintain adequate levels of bagged gypsum products.
- **Regulatory Compliance**:Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and requirements (e.g. occupational health and safety and risk management standards).
- **Strategic Input**:Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews, playing an essential role in shaping the company's growth.
- **Cross-functional and multi-discipline collaboration**:Collaborate with Operations Manager as well as other corporate management (sales / and office staff) to ensure finished gypsum products are manufactured and despatched on time.
