Risk Manager: Cfo

The Risk Manager: CFO & CPO will provide first line risk and compliance support for both the Chief Finance Office (CFO) and Chief People Office (CPO) of Great Southern Bank. This is a new role for Great Southern Bank, and you will have the opportunity to build something special which will have long-term impact for the organisation.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide advice and guidance to the Chief Finance Office and the Chief People Office, on the implementation of the Risk
- Management Framework.
- Manage the first line risk response for each division, supporting maintenance of current and fit for purpose risk profiles.
- Work with the first line risk community to identify which key organisational controls are relied upon across the enterprise, prioritising testing, recommending improvements, and seeking opportunities to streamline and automate.
- Support the teams within each division to identify and manage current and emerging risks.
- Design, manage, and support the business to conduct required first line activities.

**Skills & Experience**:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in a similar risk and/or compliance role, preferably in the 1LOD and in Banking and Financial Services
- Experience in formulating and implementing compliance and compliance procedures
- High level of understanding and practical experience of risk management within financial services
- Demonstrated experience with industry and governance standards
- Strong experience in risks relating to banking and the legislative requirements around these
