Wood is recruiting for an experienced Project Planner / Scheduler to join the Wood team at the Ampol Refinery based in Lytton, Brisbane.

We have an exciting, major project coming up at Ampol that will see you supporting the project lead with the scoping, estimating, planning and scheduling in advance of the commencement of project execution phase in mid-2025.

This role offers you an opportunity to contribute towards a successful, major oil & gas project, while actively contributing as a key player within the wider team. Initially engagement is on a contract basis, however, there is also scope for long-term employment with Wood.
- Work closely with various stakeholders including project leads to develop detailed project schedules using **Primavera P6 software**:

- Conduct site inspections to provide a detailed scope of work
- Populate the work orders & work-packs with the tasks, discipline hours, materials, specialist vendor requirements, PMRs and other services required to execute the work
- Plan and schedule preventative workorders, ensure statutory testing and compliance is maintained
- Reserve all stock materials, identify part numbers and all information required for the purchase of non-stock items
- Take feedback on the work at the completion of the job and continually improve information for future work
- Create job specific task lists, update critical BoM’s
- Participate in the development & control of the area budgets
- Provide pro-active, constructive and innovate input which will enhance present practices
- Demonstrate a pro-active role in identifying safety improvements.
- 5-10 years’ experience in project planning and scheduling
- Demonstrated experience using **Primavera 6**:

- Exposure to a major heavy-industry project environment - in particular **shutdown experience**:

- Demonstrated experience in monitoring and reporting on key package milestones
- Experience in interfacing with contractor planning teams to collaborate on day-to-day schedule management
- Working with the cost management team for cost reporting and procurement requirement
- Effective communication and influencing skills.
