Application Specialist

**About the role**

Joining our IT team as **Application Specialist - Salesforce** in this 2 year contract, you will play an integral part in our Application Development Team, collaborating with our Application Development lead and vendor team to support development operations as well as managing sprints, resolving complex integration issues and implementing advanced configuration changes.

This role will also promote best practice guidelines for Salesforce development, overseeing vendor QA and ownership of the automated regressions testing suite and conducting proof of concepts (POCs) to enable informed decision-making regarding potential solutions.

This varied role will offer you the opportunity to broaden your skills as you collaborate with our team to ensure Salesforce is supporting the needs of our business which then allows us to support the Dairy industry. It is a mix of Architecture and Solution design ensuring optimised performance and security combined with Technical Assessment and Quality Assurance and aligns to best practise as well as Dairy Australia’s standards.

We want to hear about your previous experience gained within a similar Salesforce Technical role (5+ years experience) including:

- Familiarity with enhancing solution architecture, particularly in creating and maintaining artifacts such as level diagrams, Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD), and solution design documents.
- Proven experience in setting up integrations between Salesforce and external tools, leveraging REST, SOAP, APIs, and OAuth protocols.
- Experience with test automation tools such as Tricentis Testim is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Salesforce platform, including extensive knowledge of core platform features, Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce CLI.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing code quality practices, including code reviews, code style enforcement, secure code scanning, and compliance with industry standards.
- Experience with Confluence, Jira and Scrum/Agile working methodologies.
- Salesforce Platform Developer 1 or 2 certification.
