Executive Manager, Technology Risk

**How will I help?**

The Executive Manager, WIB Technology Risk supports the Head of Technology Risk to achieve team accountabilities and responsibilities. This role is focused on non-financial risks arising in WIB Technology.

This is a 2nd line risk function providing oversight, challenge and control to technology organisations across the Group (both those in business-facing divisions and central functions in Customer Services & Technology) to enable them to achieve strategic objectives within risk appetite.

As a senior member of the Technology Risk team, the incumbent will be expected to function relatively independently seeking guidance and escalating matters as necessary. That includes being the primary contact point in Technology Risk for WIB Technology and WIB Risk.

Your responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:

- Providing WIB Technology with specialist, outcomes-focussed oversight, challenge and insights that influences decisions, optimises the risk/reward balance and assists it to achieve its objectives, within risk appetite and meeting regulatory requirements.
- Providing an independent assessment and challenge over the risks inherent in material changes.
- Oversight of technology related scenario analysis programme, including input into the refresh process and providing review and comment on relevant cross-industry external loss data.
- Assisting WIB Technology in driving a risk culture in which risk awareness and thinking is built into day-to-day business decisions.
- Contributing to the Divisional CRO Report to the Technology Risk Committee.
- Supporting the preparation of the WIB CIO Report and/or the Divisional CRO Report to the WIB Risk Committee, as required.
- Working with 1st line CST and WIB Business Controls & Monitoring teams, support the preparation of WIB risk profiles.
- Supporting the review and enhancement of Operational Risk frameworks and policies.
- Reviewing and challenging the effectiveness of the WIB Technology control environment and the completeness, consistency and accuracy of WIB Technology’s operational risk data.
- Helping raise awareness and understanding of risk and control concepts and their relevance to strategic and operational business activities.
