**The Role**

Our client is a government department committed to supporting Queensland's future workforce by connecting all Queenslanders to learning opportunities through quality training, employment opportunities and by helping small businesses to start, grow and thrive.

They are currently seeking a Diversity and Inclusion Specialist with demonstrated knowledge of contemporary diversity and inclusion principles and HR practices, as well as effective engagement skills to help drive stakeholders to achieving a diverse and inclusive workplace. Reporting to the Manager, Workforce Capability and Engagement, responsibilities will include:

- Delivering complex initiatives and programs to promote diversity, inclusion and belonging.
- Actively support the Department's Diversity and Inclusion Network.
- Monitoring and reporting on the achievement of required outcomes and targets for inclusion and belonging programs.
- Providing feedback to management on new and emerging opportunities, areas for service improvement and issues that relate to inclusion and belonging.
- Develop submissions, briefs, presentations and project documentation for organisation wide diversity and inclusion programs.
- Managing the department's Women in Emerging Leadership mentoring program.
- Designing workshops on a range of diversity and inclusion topics.

**You**

Tertiary qualifications and practical experience in a similar role would be advantageous and personal identification with an EEO target group is preferred

- Prioritise, schedule, and perform work to meet deadlines, commitments, and client service standards.
- Demonstrate interpersonal communication, consultation, negotiation, and team skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
