- Job description**The Role**
The Project Manager partners with leaders in Assessment and Succession, Leadership Development and Organisational Strategy to plan and execute consulting engagements. The purpose of the role is to effectively manage engagements throughout the whole project lifecycle, from project kick-off through to project closing.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Operational excellence**:Work with broader PMO to develop and roll out best practices in project mgmt.
- Manage the execution of large-scale projects, which may include multiple consulting work-streams
- End-to-end project lifecycle management, including:
- May provide input into the sales process
- Partner with consultants to support business development and delivery colleagues to identify and capitalise on opportunities to expand business.
- Provide quality assurance oversight for project.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Education, experience and other qualifications**:
- 6-8 years of experience in project or account management with an understanding of business and effective management practices.
- Minimum of three years demonstrated experience successfully managing large, complex projects. Experience with global project management preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint with the ability to learn challenging internal software programs. Experience with MS Project and/or SAP is a plus.
- Project Management certification (PRINCE2, PMI or similar) would be a plus
- Strong documentation management standards and version control
- Highly analytical and logical with attention to detail and high quality standards
- Ability to hold informed and credible discussions with clients and consultants at all levels articulating how Korn Ferry can help address the client’s issues
- Able to proactively and effectively manage own time
- Ability to develop a thorough understanding of the client’s business, industry and needs
- Highly motivated, proactive individual with a strong customer service ethic
- Excellent interpersonal skills and professional, credible and confident style
- Strong organisational and research skills
- Strong team player with an adaptable and flexible approach, able to work effectively in virtual teams
