**The Opportunity**

We are working with a Victorian state government department, assisting them to manage a large and complex portfolio of work and are looking for a **Project Assurance Consultant. This is a contract position that would suit a consultant who is available to work periodically over the course of 12 months.**

This role will see you working across a high profile project within the department to ensure compliance with the Victorian Government’s ICT Project Assurance Framework. You will provide input to the assessment of risk and mitigations, review of issues and treatment, identification of significant missing risks and issues and making recommendations across key milestones in the project.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience providing project assurance and oversight experience in ICT environments
- Advanced experience in the assessment of risk, identification of possible issues and making recommendations relating to Governance, Business Case assessment, Project Management involvement, Delivery Improvement, Vendor/contract management and project monitoring
- Proven ability to plan and manage QA meetings with designated senior internal stakeholders as required
- Experience developing QA reports on assurance activities, inclusive of assurance data analysis undertaken
- Prior experience presenting QA reports, at key gates/ milestones and table findings and recommendations at QA meetings
- Proven experience tracking and monitoring the status of findings, recommendations and agreed actions and table the updated report at QA meetings
