**Job Description**:
We are seeking a Deputy Editor to assist in running TV show sites (Entertainment vertical)
- Working closely with the editor to establish a daily content plan
- Working closely with the editor and video manager to manage the team over the day
- Assisting the editor with subbing content and content planning
- Leading the afternoon meetings and running the evening shift - making sure content is subbed and ready to publish, and working with homepage editors in the evening/night if needed
- Helping with rostering
- Delegating content and working with the team to create the best content strategy for the shows
- Managing relationships with publicity to organise interviews with talent for our shows and working alongside social to amplify content’s reach
- Working closely with producers to produce engaging editorial content that supports our partners 9Now and Stan
- Pitching stories in line with our editorial strategy that our audience will love
- Flexibility in shifts, working outside of hours to help with editorial and breaking news

**Qualifications**:
In order to succeed, you will ideally have:

- Proven experience writing for digital audiences
- Demonstrated writing skills essential, with proven ability to produce fast, accurate, clear compelling copy
- Subbing/editing experience
- Ability to source original news and feature stories
- Excellent knowledge of the English language, grammar and syntax
- Strong digital platform skills and a working understanding of all social media platforms
- An understanding of legal best practices, including defamation laws
- A passion for reality programs is preferable
- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop is preferable
