Application and Platforms Lead

**The opportunity**

**Key responsibilities**
- Ensure appropriate documentation is in place, as required, covering detailed requirements (functional and non-functional), design specifications, system/user acceptance testing scripts and evidence, etc.
- Engage with the broader Digital Services team to manage environments, ensuring representative environments are in place, remain patched/upgraded/maintained and ensure all required security measures are compliant.
- Work closely with the business demand to define project resources and to provide estimates of work effort based on business requirements and technical design.
- Manage and develop ongoing communications with vendors to ensure understanding of future direction, new technologies, and identification of new opportunities.
- Identify potential solution options, enhancements and recommendations.
- Liaise directly with key operational and business leaders to automate and optimize processes where possible.
- Maintain a development and configuration audit trail for all production releases and changes to ensure strict compliance and traceability.
- Lead audit and compliance from an IT perspective, including annual year-end assessments.
- Monitor and actively ensure the incidents, service requests and demands are resolved within the relevant timelines.

**About you**
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Understanding business processes and the impact of business process change.
- Proactive, solutions-focused attitude with a demonstrated ability to work autonomously.
- Sound negotiating and influencing skills to guide stakeholders in their understanding of systems and their operation.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively, utilising best practice methods where possible.
- Well-developed communication (written, verbal and listening) and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail.
- Knowledge of, or ideally experience working in a DevOps environment is desirable.
- Knowledge of, or ideally a qualification in, ITIL is desirable.
