About the role
Permanent full time opportunity to manage and coordinate recruitment, appointment, and ongoing employment functions for Resident Medical Officers, (Registrars, House Officers and Interns), ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and Queensland Health and Metro North policies and procedures. Provide high level advice and assistance to junior doctors and Clinical Directors/Service Line Directors on all matters related to medical workforce recruitment, appointment, and employment frameworks.
About you
- Operate with a high level of autonomy and self-directedness to resolve issues with the ability to manage high pressure and demanding environments, with proven ability to effectively coordinate, prioritise and complete a number of different tasks of a complex nature within competing timeframes.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including AHPRA and Department of Home Affairs to problem solve RMO medical registration or immigration issues, delays, or concerns, ensuring both service delivery needs, and legislative requirements are met.
- Participate in other duties as directed by the Manager, Medical Workforce Unit.
