ROLE PURPOSE:
The Creative Coordinator is the engine room of our in-house Creative team at Sheet Society, supporting the creative team to plan and produce content for all of our online and offline channels.
From set builds and sourcing wardrobe and props, to asset management and lo-fi content creation, the Creative Coordinator is the ultimate jack-of-all-trades. They understand that having a creative eye (and the know-how to produce engaging and on-brand content) is equally as important as the ability to operationalise how it’s done (processing invoices and meeting production deadlines).
The role is fast-paced, dynamic and requires a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude - the ability to work between both pre and post-production on a variety of different campaigns at once, along with the ability to take ownership of what’s required and the hustle to get it done.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Shoot Pre-Production, Production & Post-Production
- Assist the creative team in the coordination of location, wardrobe, prop and talent sourcing.
- Manage and execute the set design build, or location hire according to the creative direction.
- Support the creative team on the creation of run sheets, call sheets & shot lists.
- Ownership of the studio environment - ensuring that its clean and tidy at all times, and all equipment, props and samples are in good working order.
- Collaborate and assist the creative team on shoot days to keep on top of both the timelines and the deliverables.
- Manage and execute the cleanup and pack down of both the studio and location shoots as well as the return of all props or wardrobe
Asset Management
- Management of all final assets including briefing in any retouching required, file handling and administration, and the handover of assets to the broader Creative and Marketing team, on deadline. Ensuring that all assets received are named and filed correctly.
Content Creation
- Collaborate with both the Art Director and Social Media Manager to ideate, produce and edit low-fi content including behind the scenes, styling video, product Reels or other campaign content, as required.
Studio Management
- As a business that values the space for creatives to truly work above their potential, we’ve invested in kitting out our own photography studio based in Abbotsford.
- This role will support the management of the studio space, ensuring its upkeep, coordinating any studio repairs or maintenance, and ensuring props and samples are stored in an organised manner.
Styling & Instore Visual Merchandising
- Assisting the Lead Stylist with instore Visual Merchandising planning and execution
Administration
- Manage invoices from freelancers, assistants, contractors or creatives as required. Working closely with the creative team to ensure that what has been invoiced is what was agreed. Keep the creative budget up to date.
- Work collaboratively with the creative team in managing campaign tasks and timelines in ASANA
ABOUT YOU:
- You’ve completed a qualification, or had previous experience in styling, interiors, design or other relevant creative fields
- You’re passionate about developing a career in the creative space and would like to have exposure to a variety of functions within a creative team
- You have an enthusiastic can-do attitude and are ready to conquer any task, you jump in and roll up your sleeves to get the job done
- You’ve had some experience using the Adobe Creative Suite (particularly inDesign and Photoshop) and feel comfortable elevating your skills
- You may have prior experience working on photoshoots, however this is not a requirement
- You have your Driver’s License, and are comfortable driving the Sheet Society truck to and from shoots
- You’re comfortable getting physical with the demands of shoot bump in and bump out, and you’re aware of the OHS measures that must be adhered to
