You will lead and manage the entire credit operations across mortgages

**Your new company**
One of the world’s largest banking and financial services organisations are looking for a Head of Underwriting. This bank is heavily invested in their values and how these are translated to how they support, develop and look after their employees and customers

**Your new role**
As Head of Underwriting Services you will be responsible for:

- The entire origination component; secured & unsecured operations across proprietary and broker channels
- Leading and managing onshore and offshore teams through four direct reports
- Driving efficiency improvements within credit and establishing and maintain a robust control environment
- Maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally
- Effectively leading, guiding and supporting the Underwriting Leaders

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Senior level experience across a blend of credit operations, credit risk, distribution channels and customer engagement
- Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Knowledge of building and improving strategic activities through owning or sponsoring the strategy
- Strong credit knowledge is required with a previous lending authority preferred but not essential
- Proven ability to navigate complex situations and a progressive mind, being driven and forward-thinking
