**About the Role**

A brand new and exciting opportunity is available for a Quality & Compliance Officer to join the HSQE team, located at Kingsford. The Quality & Compliance Officer will be responsible for providing continuous advice and support to managers, supervisors and employees to ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with the requirements of the HSQE Management System and that HSQE is integrated into the organizational culture.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Work with the Group HSQE team to maintain and control the company HSQE Management Systems;
- Work across the Ahrens Group to achieve and maintain relevant AS/ISO certifications
- Ensure processes and procedures across the Group are relevant and complete, underpin efficient operation, and are standardised where appropriate;
- Ensure health, safety, quality and environment information and records are entered and appropriately filed on company electronic databases and systems;
- Facilitating the development of MDR’s, ITP’s & Traceability;
- Follow up on audit actions, opportunities for improvement and areas of concern;
- Support operational teams with HSQE activities and initiatives on permanent and temporary sites;
- Assist in project pre-planning and tendering to ensure project procedures and specifications reflect WHS, quality and environmental factors;
- Regular reporting on business management performance, objectives and targets.

**Skills and Experience**
- Formal qualifications in Quality and WHS practices;
- Good understanding of AS/ISO certifications, systems and procedures.
- Experienced Internal / Lead Auditor training including ICAM Investigation training
- Effective written and oral communication skills including skills in negotiating, developing and managing cooperative working relationships and resolving issues by reporting and negotiating;
- Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel;
- Flexibility to travel and visit project sites and Ahrens Divisions across Australia if required;
- Current driver’s license;
- Quality, WHS, Environment and/or Industrial/Manufacturing/Construction experience;
- Sound knowledge of systems, procedures and document control principles;
- Sound knowledge of business and management principles involved in coordination of people and resources.
