**About the Role**

We’re looking for a proactive and experienced Plant and Equipment Manager to oversee the safe, efficient, and compliant use of our plant and equipment. In this key role, you'll be responsible for driving performance, ensuring maintenance standards are met, and identifying opportunities to optimise operations and reduce costs.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage the purchase, use, maintenance, and disposal of plant and equipment
- Plan and oversee routine maintenance to keep equipment running safely and efficiently
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
- Lead and support a team responsible for equipment upkeep
- Work with other teams to meet equipment and operational needs
- Monitor equipment performance and carry out regular checks
- Keep accurate records of equipment use, servicing, and repairs
- Manage the plant and equipment budget
- Work with suppliers and contractors to organise quotes and services
- Drive improvements to boost efficiency, reduce downtime, and maintain a safe workplace

**Skills and Experience**
- 5 years of experience in plant and equipment management or a similar role.
- Results oriented and excellent business acumen.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with direct reports.
- Strong client focus; dedicated to meeting or exceeding client expectations.
- Exceptional time management skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and on-call as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various work sites.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and equipment management software.
- Strong knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
- Proven experience in budget management and cost control.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
