Trainer and Assessor Support Work

An opportunity is now available for a Trainer and Assessor of community services and health care courses to join our friendly and highly motivated team in Adelaide CBD. You will be joining a flourishing campus with an established reputation for producing quality, industry-ready graduates.
We are looking for an experienced trainer who is passionate about student experience, understands the importance of complying to industry standards and works well as part of a national team. We are seeking someone with current knowledge and skills in community services, individual support, disability, community services, mental health and/or leisure and health.
**To be considered for this role, you will**:
- Hold a qualification in any of the following: Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability), Certificate IV in Disability & Certificate IV in Mental Health
- Have academic teaching experience in VET, including developing training materials, face to face delivery, student engagement and student assessment.
- Demonstrate commitment to developing your teaching expertise, including your understanding of teaching, and learning technologies (experience with online learning platforms, such as Catapult and Moodle, will be highly regarded)
- Have experience updating student records and marking assessments in a timely manner in accordance with RTO compliance procedures.
- Have experience working in a cross-cultural environment and dedicating yourself to supporting students from diverse backgrounds.
- Commit to ongoing professional development and maintaining industry and VET currency.
- Understand the monthly upload requirements.
- Conduct work placement visits (desirable).
**Selection criteria are as follows**:
- Demonstrated experience in vocational education and training
- Vocational qualifications that are equal to or above what is being delivered
- Relevant experience and industry currency in the area that is being trained and assessed
- Ability to demonstrate practical skills during lab sessions with students
- Strong level of interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication and organisational skills
- A current Police Check (date of issue is to be no more than 6 months prior to commencement date)
Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
