Junior Legal Assistant

What are we looking for?

**Permanent Full-Time opportunity | Public Liability team | Sunshine office**

We now have a fantastic opportunity for a positive, energetic and highly motivated Junior Legal Assistant to join our Public Liability team at our Sunshine office. This role is a Permanent Full-time position.

Working 1:1 for an Associate in our public liability team, you will support and help the practice. Made up of litigated and non-litigated matters in the County and Supreme Courts, involving all sorts of circumstances governed by the Wrongs Act, your energy and enthusiasm will be integral in achieving successful outcomes for clients as well as your positive approach to work.

During a typical day as a Junior Legal Assistant, you can expect to be doing the following:

- Filing
- Arranging appointments and diary management
- Talking and corresponding with clients
- Typing legal correspondence and preparing court documents
- Preparing briefs to counsel
- All other administrative tasks associated with a digital practice.

What will you bring?

To be successful in this role ideally you will had experience working in an administration, medical or legal role and you may have completed a Business Administration (or similar) certificate or diploma.

It would be great if you had experience in the following:

- Experience in legal administration or a customer service facing role
- Organised and proactive with a high attention to detail
- Ability to confidently multi-task and prioritise
- A willingness and motivation to learn and develop in legal administration
- An understanding of Microsoft Office and an ability to pick up new software packages quickly
- A genuine passion and desire to work in a Plaintiff Law environment
- Ability to work well with others and a keen willingness to learn
- Are independently motivated and can show initiative
